What Food Can You Cut with a Bone Saw?
Electric bone saws are traditionally used in butcher shops and meat-processing businesses to portion larger cuts of meat together with bones. They are also suitable for commercial kitchens that regularly process fresh or frozen food.
Saw blade can cut beef, pork, lamb, poultry, and tougher cuts containing bones. It allows evenly sized portions to be prepared from products that would be difficult or inaccurate to divide with a standard kitchen knife.
Larger fish, including firm bones and tougher sections, can also be processed with a bone saw. This makes the machine suitable for portioning fresh or frozen salmon, tuna, and other large fish.
When proper hygiene procedures are followed, a bone saw can also divide firm or hard-skinned foods such as melons, squash, and root vegetables. When switching between different types of food, saw blade, work surface, and meat pusher must be cleaned thoroughly to prevent cross-contamination.
