GAS INJECTION SYSTEM IDG/SC-120/N
- The gas injection system is an optional integrated accessory for Diamond SC-120/S and SC-120/IVP vacuum packaging machines.
- After extracting the air, the system injects food-grade gas into the vacuum bag and then starts the sealing phase.
- The protective atmosphere helps extend shelf life and preserve the food’s color, flavor, shape, and texture.
- Gas injection reduces compression of fragile or soft foods caused by high vacuum levels.
- The system is suitable for packaging meat, fish, cheese, vegetables, baked goods, and other delicate foods.
- Nitrogen (N₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂), argon (Ar), or suitable food-grade gas mixtures can be used.
- The appropriate gas composition depends on the food, packaging material, and required storage period.
- Mixtures containing more than 20% oxygen require a special oxygen-compatible vacuum pump.
- An external food-grade gas supply is required, typically a gas cylinder connected through a regulator.
- The machine has a 6 mm connector and requires a gas flow of 60–100 L/min with a maximum supply pressure of 1 bar.
- The system is installed directly in a compatible vacuum machine and can be ordered with the machine or retrofitted later.
