Professional pot washers for commercial kitchens

Washing cookware is one of the most demanding tasks in a professional kitchen. Pots, pans, GN containers, trays and other kitchen utensils are larger and often heavily soiled with grease or food residues. Pot washers are therefore designed for heavier loads and more intensive washing than machines primarily intended for plates, glasses and cutlery.

From pots and GN containers to large kitchen utensils

When selecting a machine, the size of the items to be washed is just as important as washing capacity. The DIAMOND range includes solutions for stainless-steel baskets from 500 × 600 mm up to 1320 × 700 mm. Larger wash chambers accommodate bulky cookware and utensils that cannot be handled efficiently in a standard commercial dishwasher.

Heavy-duty construction for demanding washing

Individual models differ in wash chamber dimensions, loading height, door design, washing performance, programmes and level of automation. Stainless-steel baskets facilitate the handling of pots, containers and other large kitchen equipment. On the largest machines, vertically lifting counterbalanced doors provide convenient access to the wash chamber. The DP32L/8P offers a loading height of up to 850 mm and a 1320 × 700 mm basket, making it suitable for particularly large kitchen utensils and cookware.

Washing performance and technical equipment

The differences between individual models extend beyond their dimensions. Higher-specification versions offer digital controls, multiple washing programmes and systems for precise management of the washing and rinsing process. Depending on the model, equipment can include a rinse pump, atmospheric boiler, detergent and rinse-aid dispensers or Break Tank. On top models, the controlled rinsing system maintains the required rinse temperature and pressure. This provides consistent process conditions where high washing performance and precise control of individual cycle stages are required.

How to choose the right pot washer

Start by determining the largest items that need to be washed. This defines the required basket dimensions and loading height. Washing volume, level of soiling, required programmes, handling requirements and technical equipment should then be considered when selecting the appropriate model. Restaurant kitchens may primarily require efficient washing of pots, pans and GN containers, while bakeries and food-production operations may place greater emphasis on trays and large containers. In high-capacity kitchens, the handling of heavy items and the organisation of the complete washing area are also important factors.
